Awards
In 1999 a special APOLLO TOXOPHOROS award was established for exceptional contribution to Bulgarian culture and its achievements abroad. The award became an annual event.
APOLLO TOXOPHOROS is a Roman replica (200 - 300 A.D.) of a 4th Century BC Greek statue. The bronze copy, made by Petar Krastev, has been granted to Apollonia by Ancient Europe International Foundation.
In 2009 the statuette of Apollo, the patron of music and poetry goes to the great artist - photographer Ivo Hadjimishev for his achievements in Bulgaria and abroad.
A special Apollo Toxophoros Award is given to the Bulgarian National Television and the Bulgarian National Radio for their collaboration and support to Apollonia.
